Macon-Bibb County Board of Elections Meeting 01/23/20

Attorney explained the two codes for this item. Only one person qualified for this special election. It is deemed that person voted for himself so no special election is required. There will be a notice for the public concerning this. There was a motion and second to approve the cancellation of this special election and members voted to approve. Discussion about the temporary selection for the vacancy was filled by a person who did not live in the district. What does the law say about this? further discussion later on this matter.

Another board member also stated that there should be public information made available to educate the public about new voting machines. There will be people present during voting to help individual voting.

One public citizen asked if the state would provide everything that is required to vote.
