Forsyth County Board of Elections Meeting 08/04/20

Meeting Notes:

  • M.S: Over 1600 absentee ballots have been mailed to our office and over 600 have early voted so far for the 8-11-20 runoff.
    • We do have enough poll workers for the 8-11-20 election.
  • These early voting locations will be open for all 17 days of early voting for the 11-3-20 election:
    • Forsyth County Elections Office 
    • Hampton Park Library
    • Parks and Recreational Natural Resources Operations Center
    • Midway Park Community Building
    • Sharon Springs Community Building
    • Coal Mountain Park Community Building (New for early voting)
    • City of Cumming  Recreation Parks Meeting Room (New for early voting)
  • These early voting locations will be open for the last 12 days of early voting for the 11-3-20  election:
    • Sharon Forks Library
    • Olde Atlanta Club House 
    • Windermere Lodge
  • This early voting location will be open for the last 6 days of early voting for the 11-3-20 election:
    • Sexton Hall Senior Center Recreation Room
  • J.N: D.S.L. is the only internet used for the Sawnee Mountain Park Community Building, so we will not use this site as an early voting location for the 11-3-20 election.
  • B.L: A motion has been passed all early voting in the county for the 11-3-20 election will be between 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • M.S: As of 8-1-20 Forsyth County has 158,927 active registered voters and 7,131 inactive voters for a total of 166,058 registered voters.
  • We have held several virtual training sessions for poll workers these last few weeks and have a couple more scheduled for this weekend for Manager training and equipment training that will be done virtually.
  • The 8-11-20 runoff election will have 8 election day polling locations.
  • The Next BOE meeting will be 9-1-20.
