Crisp County Board of Elections and Registration Official Minutes 08/04/20

  • The meeting was called to order by Chairman Patti Smith and opened with prayer by Ronnie Gray.
  • Jerome Outlaw made a motion & Ronnie Gray gave a second to accept the minutes for the July 7, 2020 meeting; motion carried unanimously.
  • Old Business:
    • After the 08/11/2020 run-off that several Georgia counties have, we can set up the poll pads with the training module and try to get some extra training for poll workers on the poll pads.
  • New Business per agenda:
    • Deaths – From July 10, 2020 – August 2, 2020 – 6313454 Vicky Waite; 596441 Mary Hancock; 4731992 Dewey Dickerson; 595986 James Fuller; 594470 Royce Bullington; 3362923 Katherine Adiah; 6436850 Anthony Knox; 596705 Carolyn Hemby; 11533758 Donald Lewis; 6315409 Kay McDonald; 10725949 Manuel Smith; 600313 Opal Blackledge; 594304 Vanneece Brooks; 8241293 Myra Davis; 1319705 Jerome Harvey Jr; 4291500 Mary Murphy; 3714126 Sue Yawn; and 7109205 Tracy Singletary.
      • Ronnie Gray made a motion to delete the deaths from the Crisp County Election Roll; Jerome Outlaw gave a second to the motion and motion carried unanimously.
    • Precinct cards for the change of location for voting for the Listonia Precinct have been mailed out. The new cards state new polling place will be Penia Baptist Church. Becky indicated she would be posting signs in public locations to note this change in location.
      • Jerome Outlaw made a motion that wherever Becky places a notification that we list ALL locations in our minutes. Willie Mae Dexter gave a second to this motion; motion unanimously carried.
    • Next Meeting will be Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at 9:00 AM.
    • Ronnie Gray made a motion to adjourn the meeting; a second was given by Jerome Outlaw; motion carried unanimously.
