Bartow County Board of Elections Meeting 10/12/20

Dexter Benning

Ken Cathcart

Janet Queen

Kathy Gill

Elections Supervisor

Joseph Kirk

Supervisor Update:

As of today we have had more than 872 in person early voters, so we will have over 1000 by the end of the day.

We have issued 12,500 absentee ballots in the mail and have gotten back 4700 of those.

We will have a special meeting in about a week.

Our largest precinct Cassville split into 2 precincts which will now be Cassville and Hamilton Crossing.

(In regards to the long process of in-person early voting) “ The main things that have been slowing us down have been today the limited space in our office and the state’s voting system (server) has slowed way down.”

Did you know that the public can attend Board of Registration and Elections meetings?

These meetings are open to the public by Georgia law. Georgia Open Meetings Act.
