Richmond County Board of Elections Meeting 03/12/21

Lynn Bailey starts the meeting with the Notification from the parks and rec. Department in the county that the Minnick Park Rec Center could not be used as a polling place for the March 16th election.

This is Due to structural damage to the building and it has been deemed unsafe.

There are 2769 voters who are affected.

Lynn Bailey believes that about 10%-30% of registered voters plan to come out to vote in this election.

The Board Decides to divert the voters to the Brigham Young Rec Center.

Timothy Mcfalls Calls for motion to waive the 30 day notice for changing of a polling station and to divert the voters to the Brigham Young Rec Center.

Sherry Barnes Seconded the Motion

Motion Passed

Lynn Bailey says the county will provide information for the change on the website and poster s put up in the county.
