Douglas County Board of Elections Meeting 11/10/21

The board approved the minutes for the October meeting and minutes for the November 5 certification meeting. 

Felon hearings—staff reported they sent out 22 letters to individuals, stating they have 30 days to show they have completed restitution in order to be placed on the voting roles.

Office operations

  1. Director Kidd reported the election results were certified November 5. The election results for elections in Douglasville and Villa Rica on the election board’s website.
  2. Poll worker training was held October 25. Two county commissioners attended.

Old business

M. Kidd reported he made presentations to the county commissioners, at their work session on November 1, to present the online training proposal and the inventory control proposal that the elections board had discussed in October. On November 4, the Board of Commissioners approved both proposals. They will be funded with existing resources. 

New business

Staff reported they will be participating in the county Christmas parade on December 3. She encouraged the board members to attend.
