Notice! Spalding will decide on Sunday voting in November midterms 3/8/22

After tabling the vote in their February meeting, on Tuesday, Mar. 8 Spalding County’s Board of elections will vote on Sunday voting for the mid-term elections. This comes after multiple members where removed or left the board and offices in response to HB 769, which only affects Spalding county.

Back in September of 2021, the Spalding County Board of Elections voted not to have Sunday voting because of alleged worker shortage and not having the money for Sunday voting during a municipal election. Now the board is looking to suppress the vote again

The New Georgia Project Peanut Gallery and multiple other organizations will be covering this meeting and making sure to inform the public. Keep an eye out on the blog for further information!
