a. Student help for election, presented by Chairman Haney: “I called and sent Mr. Caldwell an email earlier today but have heard anything back yet; everything should be a-go regarding getting students. We’re going to try to get 20 of those students, and we’ll use them how we best need to use them. We’re going to train them on the certificates. I would imagine whatever we have been doing will be centered around the certificate part of the election. I want least want one student at the Civic Center and at Red Bone to be at the door at a table with an express poll, with the sole purpose being to look up people to tell them if they are in the right spot. That problem will go away with time.”
b. Poll Workers for Primary update – approved the list of workers
c. Poll Worker Training – April 19th at the Sheriff’s Office; two sessions: 8:30 AM–12 PM and 1:30 PM–4 PM
d. May General Primary Calendar Review – advanced voting will begin May 2nd through the 20th from 8:30AM-4:30PM. There will be a board of elections meeting on May 4th. May 14th will be the date for Saturday voting. Election Day is May 24th; the 23rd will be the day to set up the equipment, and the 25th is the day that they will take everything down.
