Supervisors Report:

A report on the progress of the new space being reconfigured for the County Elections office was made. Project is 90% complete with a possible move in date in December.

Kathleen reported on the UnionPoint and Greensboro Municipal Elections.

Union Point results were straight forward.

Greensboro elected a new Mayor. The City Council race had 12 non-partisan candidates for 5 positions. On election night there was a tie for 5th and 6th. One vote was later cured, providing a winner by one vote.

Public Comment

Katrina Breeding appealed to the superintendent to do a recount on the City Council Race. She stated that this was not intended to be a criticism of the work of the Election’s Office but rather to protect the integrity of the vote in a race with a decision based on a single vote.

Kathryn Harris requested a hand recount of the City Council race prior to certification which she felt would go a long way toward burnishing the reputation of the Elections process.

Helen Smith made a motion to approve the minutes of the October 13th meeting which was seconded by Bob Lofgren and approved.

A motion was made by Bob and seconded by Helen to certify the results of the Union Point election. The motion was approved.

A motion was made by Helen with a second by Bob to certify the results of the Greensboro election. The motion was approved/

Both party representatives were asked if they had anything to report at the meeting. Both declined.

Finally, the next monthly meeting was scheduled for December 8th at 5PM.
