ELECTION NOTICE STATE OF GEORGIA COUNTY OF BUTTS NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Logic and Accuracy testing and preparation of voting and tabulation equipment to be used in the MARCH 24, 2020 PRESIDENTIAL PREFERENCE PRIMARY will begin at 9:00 a.m. February 12, 2020 at the Butts County Board of Elections & Registration, 625 West Third Street, Suite 5, Jackson, GA 30233. Testing will continue on a daily basis until complete and is open to interested persons who wish to observe.
Qualifying for Local Elected Offices in Butts County began on Monday, March 2, 2020 and ended on Friday, March 6 at 12:00 Noon. Click – https://buttscountyga.com/election2020candidates/ – for a list of all eligible local elected offices and the names of those who have qualified for for election or re-election. In cases where only one candidate qualified, the election is considered completed for purposes of this list. Offices running non-partisan are all decided May 19th. The Clerk of Court and Coroner’s race will also be decided in the primary due to all candidates running in the same party. Races where multiple candidates are running from both parties will ultimately be decided in the General Election on November 3rd.
