Members Present: Ms. Sherri Allen, Mr. Aaron Johnson and Ms. Julie Adams
Ms. Juli Adams: asked about the presence of thumb-drives at the prescinds and what were these being used for? She was also very concerned about reviewing documents and writing numbers one by one and verifying them. Mr. Aaron Johnson was concerned about remaining on task and not expanding the work the office had unnecessarily. Ms. Sherri Allen wanted to concentrate on the new SEB rule and the list established at the prior meeting.
There was a question regarding whether they could compare ballots cast to unique vote id’s. The response was no, because the required report was not yet ready. They had until 5pm today to produce it. They discussed ICC scanners and the process of uploading absentee votes. It was clarified that this is not done through wifi or hot spot, but instead it is hard wired to ensure integrity of the process. The spoke about the reconciliation report which is due 30 days after the county certification by the Secretary of State. An important point was that the Board can request a copy under Rule 183. Lastly, the meeting was over at 2:40pm however they could not adjourn because in order to keep the process of review of documents open there must be a quorum. A few Board members were dismissed but 3 remained to allow for the review of documents until 5pm today.
