B. Public Comment
J Elsner voiced concern about absentee ballot deadlines.

C. Director’s Report
Sosebee presented the February Activity Report, including cancellations of 170, vs. 71 in
January. She noted the Spanish language portal that translates online, and the
continuation of Spanish language signage. “Logic & Accuracy” (L & A) training on poll
machines for poll workers has been completed. Staff reported on absentee ballot
updates, urging that absentee ballots be mailed ASAP for the Mark primary elections
because the US Postal Service has experienced delivery delays.

E. New Business
Election Day update: Sosebee reported her visiting all seven new polling places, noting
improvements that will be made for access at the Airport and the Girl Scout locations.
She reported the reminder to some voters that unmarked “blank ballots” do count in
order to track voters who complete the voting process.
Staff and Board members reported their experiences at various polling stations, with
special attention to the Girl Scout ramp repairs needed and improved parking
arrangements at the Airport. Many had compliments for the staff and poll volunteers.

F. Announcements
Six voting deadlines March 12 – May 21.
The March 18 Special Certification meeting will be held at 3:00 pm to assure that
certification of ballots will meet the State submission deadline.
