Commissioners in attendance:
Larry Sampson, Chair
Danny Dunn, Vice Chair
Pete Adams
Gary Garland
The meeting began at 10:00am.
The state signature audit program was discussed briefly. Sampson said it is progressing. In coordination with UGA, there is a formula for each county to pull ballots at random and check signatures.
Sampson reported that all county election offices had a conference call with the secretary of state on April 28, during which the details of SB202 were discussed. He said all forms and procedures are expected to be in place by the 2022 election cycle.
Sampson reported that Dominion has requested serial numbers of all voting equipment in the warehouse. He also noted that all said equipment has been gone over and is in working order.
There was a brief discussion about a deal worked out with the Cobb County BOE whereby Cobb will donate unused metal stands to Murray.
I asked a question about municipal elections in 2021 in Chatsworth and Eton. Sampson said those elections are handled by the municipalities and are not under the purview of the Murray County BOE.
The meeting adjourned at 10:15am.
