Board met at 10 a.m. to certify results of Nov. 3, 2020, election.
11,765 votes were cast by 14,834 active voters (79 percent).
There was a “glitch” in the morning when poll pad would not create cards.
The poll workers implemented emergency procedures (which were not explained) until the problem was resolved.
Of the votes cast, 2,249 were on election day, 7,314 were during advance in-person voting, 2,017 were via absentee ballots and five were provisional ballots.
Donald Trump received 8,230 votes — 1,865 on election day, 5,424 during advance in-person voting, 938 via absentee ballots and three provisional.
Joe Biden received 3,355 votes — 496 on election day, 1,815 during advance in-person voting, 1,042 via absentee and two provisional.
Jorgensen received 122 votes — 50 on election day, 53 during advance in-person voting and 19 via absentee.
Eight military ballots were not returned. Four absentee ballots were returned after election day.
The elections superintendent said there was no voter fraud and only a “couple of people who didn’t realize they had voted” attempted to vote a second time on election day. She said “that was innocent. No one tried to intentionally double vote.” An audit of the vote will be conducted at 10 a.m.
Thursday, Nov. 12, 2020, and it is open to the public. The results should be available in the afternoon of Nov. 12. Meeting adjourned at 10:11 a.m.
