Old business

 M. Kidd said a letter was sent to the Board of Commissioners and the topic covered will be taken up at an upcoming County Commissioner meeting. He didn’t say what the letter was about. He noted the letter was prepared at the BOE’s request, but I didn’t see any mention in notes from previous meetings. It may have been a topic in an executive session.

New business

  1. M. Kidd restated they will be registering voters at community sessions. He also noted the voter ID requirements in SB 202 and said they will be issuing voter be issuing voter IDs for those planning to submit absentee ballots.
  2. M. Kidd said requests for absentee ballots can be made 78 days prior to the election, which would be August 16 for this fall’s election.

Board concerns

Board member David Fedack, the vice chair, announced he’ll be resigning when a replacement is named for him.
