The Board of Elections has been awarded a COVID-19 response grant in the amount of $487,793. In order for us to receive the funding, we do need to get approval from the Board of Commissioners.
As of now, we have received 33,982 absentee ballot applications and mailed out 33,982 ballots. 8,926 of those ballots have been returned to our office as of this morning.
Ballot Trax of georgia.ballottrax.net/voter/ allows voters to track their absentee ballot application and absentee ballot every step of the way via phone notifications. Another way to track your absentee ballot status is the Georgia My Voter website or mvp.sos.ga.gov.
We will make sure that each voting location has at least 8 to 12 poll workers.
Did you know that the public can attend Board of Registration and Elections meetings?
These meetings are open to the public by Georgia law. Georgia Open Meetings Act.
